“Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another.” Inspired by Proverbs 27:17, this hoodie celebrates the friends, spouses, and fellow believers who help us grow in wisdom and faith. Wear it to church, a living-room Bible study, or a quiet conversation that leaves both people stronger.
The story behind the words
The phrase comes from the book of Proverbs, a collection of ancient biblical wisdom. Proverbs 27:17 uses the image of one piece of iron sharpening another to teach that people can refine and strengthen one another through honest friendship, encouragement, and counsel. The proverb was written to pass on practical wisdom about relationships, not to describe a literal blacksmithing lesson. This chest design makes that reminder visible wherever you go.
